Si certains patients pr\u00e9sentent d\u2019abord des troubles l\u00e9gers de la vision ou sont m\u00eame asymptomatiques, cette affection peut n\u00e9anmoins s\u2019aggraver jusqu\u2019\u00e0 entra\u00eener une c\u00e9cit\u00e9 permanente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Le diab\u00e8te entra\u00eene le risque, surtout \u00e0 long terme, de d\u00e9velopper une r\u00e9tinopathie. Comme dans d\u2019autres cas, la <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/beyondtype2.org\/diabetes-management\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">r\u00e9gulation de la glyc\u00e9mie<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> joue un r\u00f4le dans l\u2019apparition de la r\u00e9tinopathie. En effet, moins la glyc\u00e9mie est contr\u00f4l\u00e9e, plus le risque est \u00e9lev\u00e9. L\u2019hyperglyc\u00e9mie comme l\u2019hypoglyc\u00e9mie sont susceptibles d\u2019engendrer un \u00e9ventail de complications, dont celle-ci qui s\u2019av\u00e8re particuli\u00e8rement redoutable, car elle peut aboutir \u00e0 la c\u00e9cit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Les sympt\u00f4mes courants de cette affection sont notamment les suivants\u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Vision floue<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Troubles de la vision<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Vision alt\u00e9r\u00e9e des couleurs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Zones vides ou taches sombres<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Douleurs oculaires<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Toute perte de vision<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">En r\u00e8gle g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, la r\u00e9tinopathie s\u2019installe au niveau des deux yeux et peut entra\u00eener de graves probl\u00e8mes oculaires et troubles de la vision, notamment un d\u00e9collement de la r\u00e9tine, un glaucome, une h\u00e9morragie du corps vitr\u00e9 et l\u2019apparition d\u2019une c\u00e9cit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Un examen annuel avec dilatation des pupilles, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/beyondtype2.org\/diabetes-eye-health\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">men\u00e9 par un ophtalmologiste<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, est un excellent outil de pr\u00e9vention de la r\u00e9tinopathie, en compl\u00e9ment d\u2019une bonne gestion du diab\u00e8te. Il est fortement recommand\u00e9 de bien contr\u00f4ler la glyc\u00e9mie et le taux de cholest\u00e9rol, tout comme d\u2019arr\u00eater de fumer. Les sympt\u00f4mes sont traitables et peuvent \u00eatre att\u00e9nu\u00e9s par chirurgie au laser ou vitrectomie, mais cette affection reste incurable une fois contract\u00e9e.
